Blue Ribbon Kennel Program

ACFA

Established in 1992, the Animal Care Facilities Act (ACFA) program assures that licensed facilities meet minimum standards of care for cats and dogs. Under ACFA, breeders and facilities entering dogs and cats into commerce on a regular basis are required to hold a professional license, consent to inspections and comply with requirements of care outlined in the act.

Currently, ACFA has over 3,000 licensed facilities in the state of Missouri.

To learn more, visit ACFA online or contact the Missouri Department of Agriculture's Animal Health Division at (573) 751-3377.
