Missouri-Made Products Join the Shelves of Price Cutter Plus in Springfield

(JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.) – Today, Sen. Norma Champion joined by Erick Taylor of RPCS, Inc., John Morrison with Missouri Grocers Association and Missouri Department of Agriculture representatives announced the new Missouri-made section being added to five Price Cutter Plus stores in the Springfield area including Nixa and Ozark. These sections, set up near the produce section in each store, will include over 50 Missouri-made products from 15 of the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s AgriMissouri companies from across the state.

“We commend the Price Cutter Plus stores and RPCS, Inc. for bringing Missouri products into their stores and giving consumers an easy place to find these great products,” said Fred Ferrell, director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture. “AgriMissouri members offer an array of excellent food choices and now they can be found in one easy location in Springfield.”

Many of the AgriMissouri members participating in the Missouri-made section are from rural areas and this program brings economic benefits directly back to rural Missouri. In addition to the AgriMissouri member’s products being displayed at the stores, Price Cutter Plus will be carrying a total of 139 Missouri-made products from 23 vendors.

“Bringing the display of AgriMissouri products to Price Cutter Plus is an excellent example of what we can do with public and government entities to benefit consumers, manufacturers and rural Missouri,” said Sen. Norma Champion today in Springfield. “I look forward to consumers in our state easily finding Missouri-made products in the stores. This is a great economic tool for the whole state.”
