Grow Native! Garden Joins the Missouri State Fair
| WHAT: |
Grow Native!, a joint program of the
Missouri Department of Agriculture and the Missouri Department
of Conservation, is featuring the Grand Opening of the Grow Native!
Garden at the Missouri State Fair.
This garden features over 50 varieties of plants including plants
that have evolved in Missouri since the Ice Age, almost 10,000 years ago.
Five types of native-plant gardens will be featured in the garden circle:
glade garden, rain garden, formal garden, butterfly garden and water garden. |

Native plants are important to our Missouri
landscapes and provide habitat for wildlife. Using native plants
in homes and farm landscapes connects us to our heritage and helps
preserve Missouri’s biodiversity. |
