2008 Missouri Youth Livestock Grading and Judging Contest and Workshop
Thank you to all who participated in the 19th annual Youth Livestock Grading & Judging Contest held March 8 at the Trowbridge Livestock Center in Columbia. The Missouri Department of Agriculture congratulates the Bowling Green FFA Chapter for taking top honors and all who received awards. A total of 841 youth and adults pre-registered for this year's Contest and Workshop, while 623 actually participated. Contest participation included 77 teams, with individual participants totaling 383 youth and 67 adults. There were 173 youth and adults who participated in the Workshop.
(Ties for the Contest and Workshop were broken based on the individual's guess of the actual weight of the slaughter steer which was 1132 pounds.)
